We started out the weekend correctly, with a dance party hosted by DAME SNAX-A-LOT, originally called "Cream in my Coffee" because she is evil and wanted me to have stuff stuck in my head. (Question: do you ever get irritated by all the nicknames? If you do, I'll stop.)
zhandi got a bit more serious with a discussion on sexism on Big Brother. I haven't ever seen it, but I do know that it's had some awful press. (Yes, this was a share from GT, but since it was meant to be posted here, I included it.)
Snacktastico continued to prove that she knows where my mind is at on Friday nights: music, food, and all things good, with a spirited debate on the most epic kind of sauce. MissNormaDesmond proved she knows where Snackety Snax's mind is at at all times by discovering photos of her internet boyfriend.
behinddarkglasses had a more introspective dance party, which included some lovely songs that I am ashamed to say I did not listen to until about 10 seconds ago, but are perfect for this Saturday night. There was also a post that might have sort of gotten derailed (so sorry!) about unwanted guests invited over by roommates.
nothip was really late with Flashback Friday, not that I'm bitter or anything.
Our favorite troll made her first (and hopefully not last) post on Backtalk. I think it is about how Facebook is out to get us all.
A_count told us about stuff that is happening outside the internet, with the latest on the Ebola outbreak. I have been seriously isolated in my bubble, so thanks.
Jossie Grossie asked us about movies that fucked with your brain. I'm going with Guardians of the Galaxy because I couldn't decide whether to laugh or be concerned with the plight of our heroes, but there is some awesome discussion over there. zhandi is jumping down excitedly about the Killing and wants to know if we want reaction posts.
Scylla got us going with a truly fascinating visual aid that I am still trying to figure out. Is it top 50% and bottom 50%? Maybe I should click on the link to find out.
OmarGone let us know of a difficult surrogacy case in Australia, in which the couple decided they no longer wanted one of the babies and the surrogate did not want an abortion.
We patted each other on the back intherain's Backtalk appreciation post.
Owl found out that Snacktastic's Vine account features dogs in shoes. Funny story, this vine autoplayed when I refreshed BT on my phone while chatting with my parents.
zhandi presented us with a lovely reflection on the memories evoked by cherries.
JinxieJade presents us with the difficulties of her husband's band and asks for advice.
And finally, Owl presents the long-awaited reflection on Theda Bara. She's been hinting about this for days, you guise. You should go read it.
