Hey everybody did you hear? Girls is ending! You might not know about this not-buzzed-at-all about show but I think like Twin Peaks or Futurama it could really find it’s way back after being on DVD or Blu-Ray or Netflix. So if you’ll permit me, I’ll talk about this show that no one has heard about but me.
It’s like we got no warning at all. Barely anybody has been talking about it. I mean I don’t think I’ve seen any articles whatsoever about this show Girls. And I’m going to guess neither have you! So let me recap the plot of the show:
Lena Dunham plays Hannah, a girl who gets naked all the time and lives in Brooklyn. Hannah is a writer (weird! So is Lena Dunham!) and goes through life having sex and writing about it. She has friends Marnie (so high maintenance!), Shoshanna (fun and innocent!) and Jessa (moody and adventurous!) who are just as if not more interesting than her but are annoying in their own ways. Just like your friends! Hannah has/had a serious boyfriend named Adam who is an active contrarian and feels things. So we think. We only know Adam feels things because he says he does. Then there’s Ray who is a cranky old man in a young man’s body. Adorable! Later in the series you meet Elijah who (SPOILER ALERT) was Hannah’s boyfriend who came out as gay. He’s fantastic and better than everyone else on the show.
They do things. They wear stylish clothes. They yell at people and cry a lot. They realize life is hard. They’re the voice of Millennials.
So if you like these characters check out this show Girls. You won’t regret it!
