Such a strange day in Portlandia. An inch of snow fell yesterday and shut down the city. I don’t leave the house when there’s snow and ice because nobody around here shovels or sands when there’s snow or ice. They just figure if they wait a day or two it will melt. I am getting cabin fever in January. That usually waits until February to make me crazy.

The latest news on impeachment is encouraging but I am not convinced the criminals in the Senate will vote against the corruption they love so much.

These two just seemed to reflect the current Repubs in the Senate and their attitude toward corruption. * Hint: they’re all in it together.

I found the article on witchcraft trials as political acts to draw or keep members by warring religious factions to be the most compelling argument yet to explain the witch trials. That and ergot poisoning. Whatcha think? It makes more sense than most arguments I’ve heard. It also reflects the battle going on between the two parties and the Culture War instigated by the minority party.
