Time to get back to work. Be careful out there today!
Here’s Some Wonderful Monday Morning Stuff:
If you haven’t been following the situation in Brazil then coincidentally it was the subject of the main story on John Oliver’s show last night so you can catch up now. As usual with him, it’s not an in depth piece like bloggers and social media would like you to believe, but it’s a decent and entertaining short primer on a very serious shit-sandwich of a situation. That 30% number is a fun one!
And continued from last night’s climate change stuff, here’s some brand new stuff rolling out fresh this morning! As always.... DUH... smart people have been saying this for a while... and frankly, as nice as it that they made this sound extra dire, they’re still soft-selling it with unwarranted optimism.
“Scientists might want to write in capital letters, ‘ACT NOW IDIOTS’, but they need to say that with facts and numbers,” said Kaisa Kosonen, from Greenpeace, who was an observer at the negotiations. “And they have.”
Okay fine.... here’s a few nicer animal stories from The Dodo for you.
