Hello, friends. Sorry about being more absent than present lately. Today’s art is brought to you by me. I was a real butterfly child. I grew up with the privilege of living in Monarch butterfly territory. I remember standing on my bed and looking out the window as a small child, watching the butterflies flit outside my window. Their bright orange wings caught any glint of light, as though they themselves were made of light. This painting brings me joy, and makes me recall that wonder. It’s by Jef Aerosol, from 2014.
(Art prompt is something we do on Sundays. I provide an image, you provide an original thought, a little prose, a little poetry, a relevant quote, an association, whatever! Previous art prompts can be found here.)
