Tonight's game: Pokedex Entries

So me and my wonderful partner in crime LovelyLipstick would like to play a game with you all.

We're both huge Pokemon nerds, so that's the theme tonight. In the games, every Pokemon has a Pokedex entry that expands on what that Pokemon is or what their skills are. Some of these are simple enough, but quite a few of them are straight up ridiculous, like every Fire Pokemon who has a body temp of over 1000°.

So we want to see how good you guys are at picking the true ones from some fake ones the two of us cooked up. We'll tally up how many you got right and we'll announce the winner later tonight.

Charizard

A) As a result of its long-held dream of flying, its cellular structure changed, and wings grew out.

B) Its fiery breath reaches incredible temperatures. It can quickly melt glaciers weighing 10,000 tons.

C) Fiercly territorial, Charizard is known to challenge any and all who wonder in to their territory

Magcargo

A) Magcargo's body temperature is approximately 18,000 degrees F. Water is vaporized on contact. If this Pokémon is caught in the rain, the raindrops instantly turn into steam, cloaking the area in a thick fog.

C) The fiery surface of its body gives off a wavering, rippling glare that is similar to the sun.

Trapinch

A) Its big jaws crunch through boulders. Because its head is so big, it has a hard time getting back upright if it tips over onto its back.

B) A small, yet immensely powerful Pokemon. It has the power to create massive earthquakes.

C) It usually lives deep in mountains. However, hunger may drive it to eat railroad tracks and cars.

Pichu

A) Even in the most vicious storm, this adorable Pokémon plays happily if thunder rumbles in the sky.

C) Cute and playful, it also has a mischevious side that gets it into trouble often.

Mew

A) Mew is said to possess the genetic composition of all Pokémon. It is capable of making itself invisible at will, so it entirely avoids notice even if it approaches people.

C) Said to now be extinct, Mew is the genetic ancestor of all life on the planet.

Dodrio

A) It shows signs of limited psychic power. Scientists believe this enables a telepathic link between its heads.

B) Can run faster than it can fly. The three heads are in constant conflict with each other.

C) Apparently, the heads aren't the only parts of the body that Dodrio has three of. It has three sets of hearts and lungs as well, so it is capable of running long distances without rest.

Ampharos

A) The bright light on its tail can be seen far away. It has been treasured since ancient times as a beacon.

C) The sap released from a Slowpoke's tail can be used to attract fish.

Umbreon:

A) Umbreon can use moonlight to restore its energy.

B) Umbreon evolved from exposure to the moon's energy pulses. It lurks in darkness and waits for its foes to move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack.
